Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a member of the OSU President’s Executive Team

  • Provide administrative guidance and support on issues related to diversity and inclusion to the OSU President and other administrators, including branch campus Presidents, Vice Presidents, Academic Deans, and Department Heads 

  • Provide leadership and a strategic vision for the Division of Institutional Diversity, which consist of four Departments:

    • Office of Multicultural Affairs

    • Oklahoma Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (OK-LSAMP)

    • Diversity Academic Support

    • Department of TRIO Programs

  • Fiscal oversight of an annual budget of approximately $2.5 million

  • Oversee the development and implementation of programs and initiatives aimed at cultivating and strengthening diversity and inclusion to support the land-grant mission at OSU

  • Engage in community outreach with internal and external constituencies throughout the state and nation to promote the University and the Division as a resource in fulfillment of OSU’s land-grant mission

  • Work with the OSU Foundation to identify prospective individual and corporate donors in the area of diversity and inclusion, as well as stewarding the existing base of donors to the University and the Division of Institutional Diversity

    • Raised/Directly Facilitated approximately $20M in private, corporate, and foundation philanthropic funds supporting scholarships and program support since 2009. 

  • Work with the OSU Division of Administration and Finance, specifically the Purchasing Department, to cultivate and strengthen the University’s Supplier Diversity efforts

  • Provide administrative guidance and support to the five campuses across the OSU system on issues related to diversity and inclusion, particularly the recruitment and retention of diverse students, faculty, and staff
